Placements24 partners with a leading consumer electronics innovator to recruit a Product Design Engineer for a fully remote team. You will conceptualize, model, prototype, and refine products for mass production. Bring expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor), rapid prototyping, and DFM/DFA.

Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines while shaping next-gen devices. This role emphasizes material science, manufacturability, and a strong portfolio; you will document

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product design within consumer electronics.
• Strong portfolio of product development projects.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor).
• Experience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, CNC).
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal stamping.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and design of new consumer electronic products from ideation to production.
• Develop detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software.
• Create and refine product prototypes for testing and validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for integrated design.
• Conduct material selection and analysis to optimize performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Ensure designs are feasible for mass production with manufacturing partners.
