About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in the consumer electronics sector based near **Mérida, Yucatán**, is searching for a highly creative and results-driven Product Development Project Manager. This role is essential for guiding new products from concept through to successful market launch. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical understanding, market insight, and exceptional project management skills. You will be responsible for managing the entire product development lifecycle, coordinating engineering, design, marketing, and manufacturing teams, and ensuring that innovative products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet market demands. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to groundbreaking product innovations for our client.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development of new products from ideation, feasibility studies, and concept development to full-scale production and launch.
• Develop and execute detailed product development project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and manufacturing, in a remote setting.
• Ensure product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met throughout the development process.
• Manage product roadmaps and prioritize features based on market analysis and business objectives.
• Facilitate virtual team meetings, reviews, and decision-making processes.
• Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation phases of product development.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and other external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Product Design, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product development project management, preferably in consumer electronics or a related industry.
• Proven track record of successfully bringing innovative products to market.
• Strong understanding of product design, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with agile product development methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
• Strong market analysis and strategic thinking capabilities.
