Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a senior DevOps Engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise to join a remote-first engineering team. You will design and manage scalable Kubernetes clusters across AWS, GCP, and Azure, build CI/CD pipelines, and implement IaC with Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DevOps, strong scripting skills, and a solid understanding of networking and security for distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related roles.
• Expert Kubernetes knowledge including cluster setup and troubleshooting.
• Experience with major cloud providers and their container services (EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong networking, security, and distributed systems understanding.
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes-based apps.
• Implement IaC with Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize availability.
• Enforce security best practices for containerized workloads.
• Automate tasks, incident response, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve deployment and runtime issues.
• Manage logging, monitoring, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Document infrastructure and operational processes.
• Stay updated on Kubernetes trends and best practices.
