Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to deploy and optimize a new Kubernetes-based cloud environment on AWS for a short-term project. You will lead platform engineering efforts, focusing on scalable, secure, and automated deployments.

The role requires deep Kubernetes experience, strong AWS knowledge, and proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Argo CD. Flexible remote/office options and fast-paced delivery are part of the opportunity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering.
• 4+ years supporting Kubernetes in production.
• Experience deploying and operating AWS-hosted apps.
• Leading tech implementation efforts with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with AWS services (VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, Route 53, ALB/NLB, RDS, CloudWatch, S3, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager).
• Experience with Bash, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of a new cloud environment within AWS or another provider.
• Ensure deployments follow security, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
• Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes platforms.
• Troubleshoot cluster, networking, ingress, storage, and workload issues.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and related tooling.
• Design and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish GitOps deployment patterns with Argo CD.
• Create runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials.
