Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks an Investment Banking AI Research Contributor based in Mexico. You will design Excel-based tasks from investment banking, M&A advisory, and corporate development, challenging AI models to perform complex financial modeling.

This remote, project-based role offers a flexible schedule, weekly payments, and quick onboarding. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in investment banking, advanced Excel skills, and an interest in AI evaluation.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or corporate development.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling knowledge (merger models, pro forma, purchase accounting, precedent transactions, football field).
• Modeling accuracy: build and review complex models with numerical precision.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Written English skills to produce clear briefs and rubrics.
• Interest in AI research and willingness to learn evaluation methodologies.
• Independent working style; meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Data confidentiality: use sanitized data with clearly identified sources; no AI assistance.
• Availability for onboarding and prompt start.

Responsibilities

• Develop realistic Excel-based financial modeling tasks.
• Establish correct reference solutions.
• Design evaluation criteria with yes/no rubrics.
• Test AI model capabilities against finance scenarios.
• Refine evaluation frameworks and identify errors.
• Prepare high-quality task briefs and input workbooks with sources.
• Maintain data integrity and avoid confidential data.
• Complete project onboarding and participate in group walkthrough.
