Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking a Back End Developer for a fully remote hourly contract open to engineers across Mexico. You will design and optimize server-side systems, data pipelines, and APIs to power AI-related products and workflows.

The role emphasizes building robust, scalable infrastructure, working with distributed teams, and delivering high-quality, well-documented code with strong engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Back-end developers proficient in Python, Go, Java, Node.js or Rust.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms.
• Comfortable with version control, CI/CD and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI training and inference workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, testable code following engineering best practices.
• Integrate with databases, queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers, researchers, and product leads.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Work independently on task- and project-based assignments on your own schedule.
