Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/SRE professional to join our expanding team in a fully remote capacity. You will design, implement, and operate robust, secure cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform/CloudFormation, Docker, and ECS/Fargate.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and support SOC 2 audits while ensuring performance and reliability across large, complex systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production including multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Deployment automation and tested rollback paths including rollback drills.
• Observability tooling experience (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar).
• Load testing and latency/ error budget management (k6 or similar).
• Security-first mindset including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance/hardening.
• SOC 2 audit support and client security reviews.
• Incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis.
• Background with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
