International Council on Clean Transportation, Inc. seeks a full-time Associate Researcher/Researcher to support transport decarbonization policies for light-duty vehicles in Mexico, with engagement in Latin America.

Office is home-based with collaboration across the ICCT network. The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree with research experience in environment, transportation, or energy topics, strong writing, quantitative and analytical skills, and experience with data analysis tools such as

• MS or PhD in engineering or environmental sciences.
• Strong understanding of air quality, climate change, and transportation emissions.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, research, and organizational skills; strong writing and verbal communication.
• Data manipulation and analysis; modeling and programming experience.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision; highly organized and self-directed.
• Spanish fluency and English proficiency required, both written and spoken.
• Experience working with fleets in Mexico or Latin America desired.

Responsabilidades

• Perform high-quality research to support transport decarbonization policies for light-duty vehicles.
• Collect and analyze data using Excel, Python, or R for vehicle performance and market evolution in Mexico/Latin America.
• Develop expertise in a technology, modeling, or policy area and serve as a resource to ICCT staff.
• Author ICCT publications such as blogs, briefs, memos, and white papers.
• Review technical literature and summarize findings for internal and external audiences.
• Prepare presentations and present findings in workshops, conferences, and policymaker briefings.
• Organize outreach activities and engage with external stakeholders including officials and NGOs.
• Collaborate with global teams across ICCT offices.
