Job summary

Spring Financial in Mexico is seeking an Analytics Engineer II to own data models powering analytics and reporting. You will design semantic layers and data marts, work with Snowflake and dbt, and ensure scalable, governed data products for analysts and business teams.

You will collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and Operations to define KPIs, validate models with automated tests, and mentor junior engineers. This remote role offers a competitive MXN salary and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern analytics tools (dbt, Tableau, Snowflake)
• Advanced SQL skills including window functions, CTEs, performance tuning
• Experience designing data models for BI and analytics (star schemas)
• Hands-on dbt development, testing, and documentation
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into reusable data products
• Experience validating data with tests and observability tools
• Comfort mentoring others and contributing to design reviews

Responsibilities

• Design scalable dimensional models and curated data marts using Snowflake and dbt
• Develop semantic layer metrics that are governed and aligned to business definitions
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and reliability
• Partner with Finance, Marketing, Operations to define KPIs and translate requirements into data products
• Validate models through automated tests, data reconciliation, and peer reviews
• Troubleshoot production data issues and improve quality checks and alerts
• Use AI-assisted tools for development, anomaly detection, and documentation
• Mentor junior analytics engineers and contribute to team design reviews
