Job summary

Nu in Mexico City is seeking a Mexico Compliance professional to ensure products meet regulatory standards from design through launch, partnering with product, engineering, fraud, and operations.

You will translate CNBV, Banxico, and CONDUSEF rules into clear guidance for non-legal teams, advise on obligations, and monitor regulatory changes to drive concrete actions and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance, legal, or risk within financial services in Mexico.
• Knowledge of CNBV, Banxico, and CONDUSEF.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to embed Mexican regulatory requirements into new products and features before they ship.
• Translate CNBV, Banxico, and CONDUSEF regulation into clear, actionable guidance that non-compliance teams can build against.
• Advise fraud, operations, and customer experience teams on the regulatory obligations shaping their processes and controls.
• Own the regulatory assessment for your assigned areas: identify applicable requirements, flag gaps, and drive them to resolution with accountable owners.
• Monitor regulatory change in Mexico, assess its impact across the product and operations roadmap, and turn new requirements into concrete work.
• Build reusable playbooks and decision frameworks so teams can self-serve on recurring regulatory questions.
• Represent Compliance in cross-functional forums, escalating risk decisions with a clear point of view and a recommendation.
• Shape how the Compliance function scales with the business by improving how advisory work is prioritized, documented, and measured.
