CIMMYT, based in Texcoco, Mexico, seeks a Regional Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for CIMMYT's regional operations, including contract life cycle management, regulatory compliance, and advisory services to HQ and field units.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensure privacy and data protection, environmental and labor compliance, and represent CIMMYT before authorities and partners, leveraging English and Spanish proficiency.

Formación

• Master's degree/LL.M in law with emphasis on contracts and regulatory matters.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible in-house legal experience, preferably multi-jurisdictional.
• Experience with NGOs, international or non-profit organizations is an advantage.
• Excellent drafting and advisory skills with ability to balance legal risk and business needs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end contract life cycle management for CIMMYT regional agreements.
• Provide timely, practical legal advice across corporate, regulatory, labor, tax, and environmental domains.
• Support Headquarters and regional units to ensure compliant, efficient operations.
• Act as legal focal point for consistency in policies and frameworks across CIMMYT.
• Represent CIMMYT before authorities and external partners as required.
