Job summary

CPKC is seeking a qualified Rail Operations Inspector in San Luis Potosí to ensure track safety and regulatory compliance while promoting a culture of safety across crews and operations. The role requires strong knowledge of railroad operations, five years of experience, and a valid LFF license.

Responsibilities include inspecting tracks post-repair, handling trouble calls, and driving performance through clear accountability and targeted coaching. 24/7 availability and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant operations experience.
• Specialist knowledge of one or more disciplines of railroad operations.
• As a requirement of the Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transporte must have and maintain valid the LFF (Licencia Federal Ferroviaria) for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Inspects tracks after repairs are made.
• Responds to trouble calls and conducts special visual inspections after adverse weather alerts.
• Demonstrates operational excellence by knowing and applying the business requirements; demonstrates customer focus and contingency planning to meet stakeholder expectations.
• Understands the relevant business metrics and applies effective tactics to sustain a culture of operational effectiveness that produces teams of high performing, engaged and empowered leaders.
• Defines and communicates clearly the teams roles and responsibilities; holds people accountable for accomplishing objectives; provides pinpointed feedback on performance.
