Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis, Project Accounting, FP&A, Project Controls, Cost Management, or related finance functions.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, accrual accounting, project accounting, and cost allocation knowledge.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting/analysis tools experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track project expenditures across labor, materials, external services, capital investments, and operating expenses.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between project management systems, financial systems, and business records.
• Investigate and resolve spending variances, discrepancies, and cost allocation issues.
• Maintain accurate project financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare, review, and process monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc invoices, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications based on approved chargeback methodologies.
• Validate project costs prior to billing and ensure all charges are documented.
• Partner with finance teams to resolve billing disputes and inquiries.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support timely recovery of project costs.
• Develop and maintain reporting on project spending, invoice activity, and cost recovery status.
• Analyze financial trends and identify opportunities to improve cost transparency and recovery processes.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and monthly financial summaries for R&D and Finance leadership.
• Support forecasting and budgeting for project chargeback programs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, governance requirements, and internal controls.
• Support audits with financial records and reconciliations.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
