Lonestar Electric Supply Partners is seeking a Quality Technician – Warehouse Operations to provide independent quality oversight for warehouse processes, verify compliance with procedures and customer requirements, and support continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will review transactions, document inspections, identify nonconformances, and assist with internal audits and corrective actions while ensuring traceability and quality records.

Formación

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse operations or related environment.
  • Ability to review documentation and verify work against procedures and customer requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • Conduct scheduled, risk-based, and event-driven process verification across Receiving, Inventory, Put-Away, Picking, Checking, and Dispatch.
  • Verify compliance with procedures, work instructions, customer requirements, and quality standards.
  • Review warehouse transactions and supporting documentation to verify completed work.
  • Perform independent verification of warehouse activities to ensure proper handling and packaging.
  • Document inspection results and quality records; initiate quality holds and nonconformance reports.
  • Provide feedback on deviations and support corrective actions; assist with internal audits and root cause investigations.
  • Support quality management system maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a Quality Technician – Warehouse Operations to provide independent quality oversight and support for warehouse operations. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is responsible for verifying compliance with established procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement across warehouse operations.

The Quality Technician serves as an independent quality resource by validating completed work, identifying process deviations, protecting material traceability, and supporting corrective actions. This position does not perform routine warehouse production duties or supervise warehouse personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled, risk-based, and event-driven process verification activities throughout warehouse operations, including Receiving, Inventory, Put-Away, Picking, Checking, Wire, Projects, and Dispatch.
  • Verify compliance with company procedures, work instructions, customer requirements, and quality standards.
  • Review warehouse transactions and supporting documentation, including purchase orders, sales orders, receiving records, inventory transactions, packing slips, bills of material, and shipping documentation to verify completed work.
  • Perform independent verification of warehouse activities to confirm material has been received, identified, stored, picked, staged, packaged, and prepared accurately.
  • Document inspection results, process verification activities, quality holds, and nonconformance reports while maintaining complete and accurate quality records.
  • Identify nonconforming material and initiate appropriate quality control procedures, including Quality Holds and Nonconformance Reports.
  • Provide immediate feedback regarding procedural deviations and escape recurring, critical, or customer-impacting issues to the Quality Manager and warehouse leadership.
  • Support customer inspections, first article inspections, pre-shipment verification, traceability requirements, and containment activities as assigned.
  • Assist with internal audits, corrective action verification, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the company's Quality Management System.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership to reinforce procedures and improve operational quality without assuming production ownership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, shipping, electrical distribution, or related environment.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory transactions.
  • Ability to review documentation and verify completed work against established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or nonconforming conditions.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity while performing independent quality verification activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in electrical distribution or industrial distribution.
  • Knowledge of electrical products, wire and cable, switchgear, project material, or customer-specific orders.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems, process auditing, corrective actions, traceability, and nonconformance management.
  • Cross-functional warehouse experience including Receiving, Inventory, Picking, Checking, Projects, Wire, Shipping, or Dispatch.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training, branch support, or quality initiatives.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly works in warehouse environments that may not be climate controlled and may include heat and humidity.
  • Frequently walks throughout warehouse operations while conducting inspections and process verifications.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
