Molex is seeking a Quality Superintendent to lead on the production floor, driving the quality strategy and ensuring adherence to automotive standards. You will work with engineers, technicians, and auditors across shifts to improve process performance and deliver corrective actions.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strategic thinking, and strong execution skills to develop the team and sustain improvements, with regular interaction across global teams.

Formación

• Experience leading Quality teams in automotive electronics environments.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, PFMEA, Control Plans, and 8D processes.
• Experience with SMT/PCBA manufacturing.
• Conversational English for meetings and global collaboration.

• Develop and coordinate a quality team consisting of engineers, technicians, and quality auditors across different shifts.

• Drive problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, and 8D investigations, implementing corrective actions.
• Partner with Production and Engineering teams to prevent recurrence and improve electronics assembly performance.
• Develop and execute quality strategies that promote change, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
• Maintain effective communication with leaders across all shifts and collaborate with global teams.

We are seeking a Quality Superintendent to lead the execution of the quality strategy directly on the production floor at Molex. This position will be responsible for strengthening process performance, driving effective problem-solving, and ensuring compliance with automotive industry requirements. Based on the structure used in the approved Molex job posting template.

This is a highly operational role that requires a strong presence in the plant and constant coordination with teams working across multiple shifts. The selected candidate will combine hands‑on leadership, strategic thinking, and strong execution skills to develop the team and drive sustainable improvements.

Our Team

You will be part of the Quality team at Molex, working closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, and other support functions. You will lead a team composed of engineers, quality technicians, and quality auditors supporting multiple shifts across the operation.

What You Will Do

• Lead daily quality activities on the production floor, establishing priorities and ensuring timely responses to process deviations.
• Develop and coordinate a quality team consisting of engineers, technicians, and quality auditors working across different shifts.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, Control Plans, and applicable automotive customer requirements.
• Drive problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, and 8D investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and verified for effectiveness.
• Partner with Production and Engineering teams to prevent recurrence, reduce risk, and improve the performance of electronic assembly processes.
• Develop and execute quality strategies that promote change, continuous improvement, and data‑driven decision‑making.
• Maintain effective communication with leaders across all shifts and collaborate with global teams as needed.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience leading Quality teams within the automotive industry, including engineers, quality technicians, and quality auditors.
• Practical knowledge of IATF 16949 and quality tools such as Control Plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), problem‑solving methodologies, and 8D processes.
• Experience in the automotive industry within electronic assembly environments, Surface Mount Technology (SMT) processes, and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing.
• Conversational English with the ability to participate in meetings, communicate production issues, and collaborate with global teams.
• Availability and willingness to work regularly on the production floor and coordinate activities across multiple shifts.

What Will Put You Ahead

• IATF 16949 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
• Experience developing quality strategies and leading transformation or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting production launches, new manufacturing lines, or growth projects in automotive electronics environments.
