Job summary

Allient Inc. in Reynosa, Mexico, seeks a Quality Specialist Engineer to audit and analyze manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and lead quality initiatives across production and engineering.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3–5 years in quality engineering, and experience with APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, PFMEA. Travel may be required; ISO/AS9100 knowledge is a plus. You will develop control plans and monitor supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
• Experience with APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, PFMEA.
• Experience developing Control Plans and FAI.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 / ISO14001 standards.
• Proficiency with Minitab, Power BI, Access; Monte Carlo is a plus.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products to drive a zero-defect culture.
• Designs and implements methods for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection; promotes quality plans and reports.
• Provides robust corrective and preventive actions to reduce scrap and external quality failures.
• Develops and analyzes COQ/COPQ, identifies top opportunities and action items.
• Participates in internal and external quality audits; supports ISO/AS9100 certifications.
• Monitors supplier quality and coordinates corrective actions with suppliers.

Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Quality Specialist Engineer to join our team in Reynosa, Mexico!

The Quality Specialist Engineer position works directly with production and engineering to audit and analyze manufacturing processes and products for improvement using various methods of problem-solving, testing, and inspection.

Responsibilities:

• Develops, applies, and maintains quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products by leading a zero-defect culture across the organization through training and ongoing communication.
• Designs and implements methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection. Promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports.
• Provides timely and robust quality corrective and preventive solutions to reduce generation of scrap and rework as well as external quality failures.
• Develops, executes and analyzes quality-reporting measures, COQ and COPQ both internal and external, identifies top opportunities, analysis, identify failures in need of prompt corrective action.
• Participates in internal and external quality audits as well as serves as the principal advisor on all quality certifications including ISO, AS 9100, etc.
• Monitors supplier quality performance and ensures incoming parts meet specified requirements. Works with suppliers on corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics (central tendency, dispersion, and distribution) and inferential statistics (parameter estimation, hypothesis testing, and Bayesian inference).
• Experience applying quality tools, including APQP, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and PFMEA.
• Experience developing Control Plans and First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
• Six Sigma (Black Belt) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 /AS9100 Quality Management System Standards and ISO14001 Environmental Management System Standard.
• Knowledge of Minitab, Power BI, Access, and Montecarlo is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
• Willingness to travel (valid Border Crossing Card/B1/B2 visa required).
