Allient Inc. in Reynosa, Mexico is seeking a Process Technician to develop and sustain manufacturing processes to meet technical requirements while achieving quality, throughput and cost objectives.

The role requires hands-on experience with production lines, equipment adjustments and knowledge of PLCs, LabVIEW and CAD tools. This position offers a full-time on-site opportunity with growth in a manufacturing setting.

Formación

  • Technician in Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in processes on production lines and/or maintenance.
  • Experience in DC electric motor manufacturing.
  • Experience with winding machines (1 and 2 flyers).
  • Experience adjusting terminal crimping machines (Amp, Molex).
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic presses (a plus).
  • Ability to perform adjustments and model changeovers on production equipment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
  • Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley), PanelView.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, AutoCAD/Inventor, Visual Basic .NET, NI cards, or willingness to learn.

Responsabilidades

  • Defines and leads the implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Ensures engineering and validation principles are applied to design and sustainability.
  • Develops processes to target Zero Defects.
  • Supports concurrent engineering with manufacturing/QA teams.
  • Designs and documents procedures for process control and testing.
  • Establishes metrics to monitor process effectiveness.
  • Performs root-cause analysis and identifies corrective actions.
  • Collects and analyzes data to predict quality trends.
  • Participates in review of customer orders and change requests.
  • Aids with equipment selection and new equipment implementation.
  • Manages PPAP/FAI submissions and approvals.

Process Technician

Full-time Regular Indirect Reynosa, XX, US

Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking a Process Technician to join our team in Reynosa, Mexico! The Process Technician develops and sustains manufacturing processes to meet or exceed the technical requirements of our customers while achieving quality, throughput and cost objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Defines, characterizes andleadsthe implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Assures engineering&validationprincipalsare applied to manufacturing process design and sustainability.
  • Develops manufacturing processes to be trouble free and ensure success every time targeting Zero Defects.
  • Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing manufacturing / quality assurance and the customer.
  • Designs, implements and documents procedures for manufacturing process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
  • Establishes and implements reporting metrics for monitoring manufacturing process effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product / process quality decisions.
  • Performs root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify corrective actions and process improvements utilizing Allied Systematic Tools (AST) and various quality tools including 3 Leg 5 Why.
  • Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product and process quality and capabilities targetingCpK1.67 normal/CpK2.0KpC.
  • Analyzes customers’ product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility.
  • Assists with equipment selection and drive implementation of new equipment.
  • Performs necessary actions for process development and documentation to perform and achieve acceptable Customer PPAP/FAI submissions and approvals.
  • Develops, Monitors and improves manufacturing process performance and risk mitigation.
  • Participates in review process for customer purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in manufacturing process and quality plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Technician in Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in processes on production lines and/or maintenance.
  • Experience in DC electric motor manufacturing.
  • Experience with winding machines (1 and 2 flyers), preferably brands such as Odawara, Otta-matic, and Globe 8000 (this is a plus).
  • Experience adjusting terminal crimping machines (Amp, Molex) (a plus).
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic presses (a plus).
  • Ability to perform adjustments and model changeovers on production equipment and functional testing (the latter desirable).
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley), PanelView.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, AutoCAD/Inventor, Visual Basic .NET, and computer interface cards (National Instruments), or willingness to learn in the area of electrical test support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot setup issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • Knowledge of industrial electronics (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, TPM, Kaizen, the 7 wastes, SPC, DMAIC (desirable).
  • Technical English for reading manuals and procedures.
