Tenneco is seeking an experienced Plant Quality Manager to lead the full quality function at our Puebla manufacturing operation, supporting pistons and piston rings.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will manage product and process quality, supplier and customer quality activities, and drive continuous improvement across the site with a focus on IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP and problem solving.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevance to manufacturing quality.
  • Automotive and metal‑mechanical quality experience.
  • At least 3 years in a Quality Manager or comparable leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and problem solving.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and develop the plant quality organization.
  • Ensure product and process quality across the manufacturing operation.
  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standards, customer-specific, regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Lead customer quality activities, complaints, containment, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Oversee supplier quality performance and development initiatives.
  • Support internal, customer, supplier and certification audits.
  • Drive APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, risk management and structured problem solving.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and drive initiatives to reduce scrap, customer claims and cost of poor quality.
  • Oversee quality systems, metrology, laboratory, calibration and quality engineering activities.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and other functions to improve quality.

QUALITY MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced Plant Quality Manager to lead the complete quality function at our manufacturing operation in Puebla, supporting the production of pistons and piston rings.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, with a dotted-line relationship to Regional and Global Quality leadership, this role will be responsible for product, process, customer, supplier, and quality systems performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the plant quality organization.
  • Ensure product and process quality throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, applicable ISO standards, customer-specific, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Lead customer quality activities, complaints, containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Oversee supplier quality performance and development initiatives.
  • Support internal, customer, supplier, and certification audits.
  • Drive APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, risk management, and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and lead initiatives to reduce scrap, customer claims, and cost of poor quality.
  • Oversee quality systems, metrology, laboratory, calibration, and quality engineering activities.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functions to strengthen quality performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Solid quality experience within automotive and metal-mechanical manufacturing.
  • At least three years in a Quality Manager or comparable leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience managing customer, supplier, process, and quality-system requirements.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary quality teams.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
