A leading manufacturing company located in Mexicali is seeking a Quality Lead to oversee quality-related activities. The successful candidate will implement methodologies that ensure products meet customer expectations for quality performance. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. Candidates should be bilingual in Spanish and English and capable of developing quality management systems to maintain compliance with industry standards.

Formación

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering functions.

Descripción del empleo

Lead and oversee Quality-related activities, implementing advanced methodologies aligned with company

standards and the Operating System policies and procedures for Manufacturing, Quality, and Reliability/Maintainability. Ensure that products shipped from the Mexicali plant consistently meet customer expectations for manufacturing excellence and quality performance. Sustain and continuously optimize existing processes to maintain operational effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Leads the plant team in defining and delivering quality objectives, initiatives, and programs that fulfill both customer requirements and internal expectations.
  • Develops and executes strategic and operational roadmaps aimed at continuous quality enhancement at the site level.
  • Collaborates with customer-facing and commercial teams to accomplish shared quality targets. Interfaces directly with customer quality representatives to drive high levels of satisfaction through effective quality performance and corrective actions.
  • Designs, implements, and continuously strengthens the site’s Quality Management System in alignment with regional and global standards. Accountable for securing and maintaining required third-party and customer-specific certifications.
  • Builds and strengthens the quality organization by developing talent and capabilities to meet evolving customer and business demands.
  • Holds the authority and accountability to suspend production and/or shipments when critical quality requirements are not achieved. Partners with plant and cross-functional leadership to promptly resolve issues and authorize the safe resumption of operations.
  • Partners with local and regional supply chain teams to ensure supplier quality metrics and audit obligations are satisfied. Coordinates with Supplier Quality to validate new supplier onboarding and PPAP approvals in compliance with customer and company requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline is required.
  • Master’s degree is considered a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable position.
  • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and standard technical drawing specifications.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, leadership in talent development, teamwork orientation, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering functions, including exposure to process and quality-related activities.
  • Capable of developing and delivering professional presentations on quality performance and improvement initiatives to customers and senior leadership. Able to effectively represent and advocate for HTT’s quality standards.
  • Proven track record in structured problem resolution methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and applicable industry standards.
