Corning in Mexico is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain quality systems that support production and ensure ISO 9001 and TL 9000 compliance. You will drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams to ensure product and process quality.

You will assess resources for the Quality Engineering department, read technical drawings, apply lean manufacturing principles, and lead problem-solving with 8D/5 whys/A3 to improve KPIs, while aligning with global optical

Formación

• Engineering degree is required.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience reading technical drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001; TL 9000 is a plus.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• English: 80%.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement and maintain Quality systems to meet production, ISO 9001 and TL 9000 requirements.
• Determine resource requirements for the Quality Engineering department: people, equipment, facilities and optimization.
• Conduct product, process and systems validations/inspections.
• Conduct finished goods materials inspections and drive continuous improvements activities.
• Lead KPI and corrective actions through problem solving (8D, 5 whys, A3, etc.).
• Attend Customer Notifications.
• Coordinate Process Audit and MSA.

Quality Engineer

What is your role?

As a Quality Engineer, you will support quality processes, drive continuous improvement, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure product and process compliance.

Major responsibilities and tasks

• Develop, implement and maintain Quality systems to meet the requirements of production, ISO 9001 and TL 9000
• Determine resource requirements for the Quality Engineering department; people, equipment, facilities as well as its optimization.
• Conduct product, process and systems.
• Conduct finished goods materials inspections and drive continuous improvements activities.
• Lead KPI and Corrective Actions through problem solving to improve indicators (8D, 5 whys, A3, etc.)
• Attend Customer Notifications
• Coordinate Process Audit & MSA.

What do you need to have?

• Engineering degree
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
