Nemak Spain SL. is seeking a Quality Engineer Machining to serve as the customer voice and ensure external quality objectives are met. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage complaints, and lead PPAP-related activities to secure customer approval.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in quality for CNC machining, strong Core Tools knowledge, and ability to interpret GD&T; join a team focused on reducing downtime and boosting process capability in automotive manufacturing.

Formación

• Quality engineer with experience in automotive machining and machining processes.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality assurance for CNC machining processes.
• Knowledge and application of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC).
• 8D methodology, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
• Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and customer requirements (GM, Ford, Stellantis).
• Proficiency in measurement and analysing Cp/Cpk.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor customer portals, scorecards and certifications; drive improvement initiatives.
• Handle and respond to customer complaints and field returns within timeframe.
• Analyze external scrap trends and implement containment and corrective actions.
• Lead validations of engineering changes and tooling replacements with customers (PPAP).
• Minimize production downtime due to quality issues through collaborative actions.
• Implement corrective actions with the customer within 24 hours.
• Attend scheduled customer meetings at the established frequency.
• Lead monthly PFMEA and Control Plan audits.
• Develop systemic measures to prevent problems and roll them out across the organization.
