ANDREW, an Amphenol company, seeks a Quality Engineer with SQE and process engineering background to drive quality across operations and the supply base, improve manufacturing and service processes, and ensure delivery of high-quality products worldwide.

The role collaborates with suppliers and internal teams to lead root-cause analysis, CAPA and 8D, supports PPAP/APQP, develops supplier scorecards, and applies Lean Six Sigma to advance process documentation, control plans, and standard work.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–7+ years in SQE and/or process/manufacturing engineering.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systems and bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with suppliers to ensure quality standards and performance expectations.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA for production and supplier issues.
• Support supplier onboarding, PPAP/APQP, and continuous improvement.
• Develop supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
• Analyze and improve internal processes to boost quality, efficiency, and cost.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and maintain control plans and standard work.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and other regulatory standards.
• Track KPIs and drive data-driven quality improvement.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a background in Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) and process engineering. This role is responsible for driving quality performance across operations and the supply base, improving manufacturing and service processes, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, supplier management experience, and hands-on process improvement expertise to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality & Development

• Partner with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and performance expectations
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, CAPA) for production and supplier-related issues
• Support supplier onboarding, PPAP/APQP processes, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics

Operations & Process Improvement

• Analyze and improve internal processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost performance
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, DMAIC, etc.)
• Identify process gaps and implement sustainable corrective actions
• Develop and maintain process documentation, control plans, and standard work instructions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and procurement teams

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and external standards (ISO, regulatory, etc.)
• Lead root cause analysis for internal and customer quality issues
• Implement preventive measures to reduce defects and variability

Data & Performance Management

• Track, analyze, and report key quality and operational KPIs
• Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Drive measurable improvements in quality, delivery, and cost performance

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)
• 3–7+ years of experience in:
• Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE)
• Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
• Strong experience w root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (8D, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.)
• Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
• Bi-Lingual English / Spanish

Preferred

• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, and supplier qualification processes
• Experience in multi-site or decentralized operations environments
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality management tools
