AMETEK is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the site Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement, and ensure ISO 9001 compliance. You will oversee audits, supplier quality, and calibration controls while promoting a strong quality culture across the organization.

The role collaborates with Operations and supports delivery of quality KPIs and business objectives. Fluent in English/Spanish, travel domestically and internationally as required.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 8+ years of Quality Management experience in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and leading audits.
  • Strong root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills.
  • Experience with SPC, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision‑making.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading and maintaining the site's Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies. This role oversees quality processes, drives continuous improvement initiatives, leads internal and external audits, and promotes a strong quality culture throughout the organization. Works cross-functionally with operations and support functions to achieve quality objectives and business KPIs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Coordinate the activities of the Quality team, establish goals and objectives, and ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions for customer complaints, internal nonconformances, and supplier quality issues.
  • Partner with Operations to improve product quality, reduce defects, and increase process effectiveness.
  • Maintain direct communication with customers regarding quality requirements, corrective actions, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality standards.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives using data‑driven decision‑making and problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Maintain and oversee the calibration system to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Support supplier quality activities as required, including evaluation of supplier performance and corrective actions.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of quality throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to site and business leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned according to departmental needs and company guidelines.
Requirements & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.
  • Certified Lead Auditor preferred.
  • Proven experience leading internal and external audits.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and quality tools.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, process capability, SPC, and quality data interpretation.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision‑making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI‑generated outputs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, and all organizational levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve business objectives and quality targets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
