Job summary

Copeland LATAM is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to ensure finished goods receive, stored, and shipped per established standards, coordinating inbound inspections, audits, and RGA processing to drive supplier corrective actions.

You will lead audits, monitor DPPM metrics, apply 5S, and ensure regulatory Trade Compliance and GMP practices within distribution. Fluency in English and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (Industrial, Mechanical or Electromechanical).
• ISO 9001:2015 internal audit certification desirable.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification desirable.
• Intermediate-advanced English (technical reading/writing).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards and internal auditing methodologies.
• Experience with quality management systems and continuous improvement.
• Good manufacturing and distribution practices.
• Ability to monitor KPIs (DPPM, aging, RGA), use statistics tools (Minitab, Excel, Power BI).
• Familiarity with export compliance and 5S/industrial safety (EHS).

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming material and validate finished product specifications.
• Coordinate shipping audits and verify material integrity before shipment.
• Manage RGA process from registration to closure with root-cause analysis.
• Issue supplier claims and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Authorize warranty credits per evaluation and documentation.
• Prepare and present executive quality performance reports.
• Monitor KPIs: DPPM, aging, RGA costs, supplier performance.
• Participate in internal, external, and certification audits.
• Maintain compliance with trade regulations and corporate procedures.

• Ingeniería Industrial, Mecánica, Electromecánica o afín (título profesional requerido).

• Certificación como Auditor Interno ISO 9001:2015 (deseable).

• Certificación Six Sigma Green Belt (deseable).

• Inglés: Intermedio - Avanzado (lectura y redacción técnica).

• Normas ISO 9001:2015 y metodologías de auditoría interna.

• Sistemas de gestión de calidad (SGC) y mejora continua.

• Buenas prácticas de manufactura y distribución.

• Control de indicadores de desempeño (DPPM, RGA's, Aging, Scrap).

• Manejo de herramientas estadísticas (Minitab, Excel, Power BI).

• Normatividad de comercio exterior y cumplimiento regulatorio (Trade Compliance).

• Cultura 5S y seguridad industrial (EHS).

Responsabilidades:

• Inspeccionar material de incoming y validar cumplimiento de especificaciones del producto terminado.
• Coordinar auditorías de embarque y verificar integridad del material previo al envío.
• Gestionar el proceso de RGA's desde el registro hasta el cierre con análisis de causa raíz.
• Emitir reclamos a proveedores y dar seguimiento a planes de acción correctiva y preventiva.
• Autorizar créditos de garantía conforme a la evaluación técnica y evidencia documental.
• Elaborar y presentar reportes ejecutivos de desempeño de calidad.
• Monitorear indicadores clave: DPPM, Aging, costos de RGA's y desempeño de proveedores.
• Participar activamente en auditorías internas, externas y de certificación.
• Mantener el cumplimiento con los procedimientos de Comercio Exterior y normativas corporativas.
