Job summary

Walmart de México y Centroamérica seeks a QA Automation & Manual Testing Lead to own a workstream end-to-end: drive automation coverage, lead manual regression, and manage a distributed team across time zones.

You will own test strategy, build E2E web/mobile automation using TestCafe/TypeScript and Appium, and integrate pipelines with LooperPro and SauceLabs while monitoring health via Grafana.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA, with demonstrated ownership of both manual regression and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with TestCafe and TypeScript for web E2E automation.
• Hands-on experience with Appium-based mobile automation frameworks (e.g. R2 or equivalent YAML-driven frameworks).
• Experience running automated suites through CI/CD orchestration tools such as LooperPro, with cloud device/browser grids like SauceLabs.
• Familiarity with Grafana (or similar) for test/observability dashboards.
• Experience managing or leading a distributed QA team (PST/IST or similar cross-timezone setup).
• Proficiency with Jira (test case management, sprint tracking) and Confluence (test plans, status reporting).
• Experience with regression testing and sign-off processes and issue management ways of working.
• Strong communication skills — able to report status to leadership and coordinate with engineering, product, and program management.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy for one or more initiatives, balancing coverage against regression sign-off timelines.
• Build and maintain E2E automation suites for web using TestCafe with TypeScript, and for mobile using R2 (YAML-based, built on Appium).
• Integrate and maintain automation pipelines through LooperPro, with cross-browser/device execution on SauceLabs.
• Monitor test execution health and trends via Grafana dashboards.
• Drive manual regression execution and issue triage for web and app surfaces, coordinating across PST/IST contributors.
• Track and report initiative status, blockers, and effort allocation.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to manual and automation testers on the team.
