AgileEngine in Mexico City is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer focused on database optimization and scalable systems. You will lead initiatives to improve performance, design data architectures, and build robust backend services handling high data volumes.

You will work with Python, SQL, Snowflake, and dbt to optimize revenue-driving features, implement event-driven processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Python experience.
• Hands-on experience building tools using Streamlit for Snowflake.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Snowflake.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Data Optimization and Database Performance: Lead the design and optimization of databases to improve performance, scalability, and efficiency, with a strong focus on query optimization, indexing strategies, and data architecture best practices.
• Back-End Data Processing: Build and maintain efficient, scalable back-end systems to handle high data volumes, prioritizing the optimization of revenue-driving features.
• Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• OOP and Clean Code: Write clean, modular code following Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, with proficiency in Python.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate high-level concepts into actionable, effective software solutions.
• Event-Driven Processes: Design and implement event-driven processes to improve data flow, responsiveness, and scalability across systems.
