Onetree in Mexico City (Polanco) is seeking Software Engineers with Python experience to design, develop, and maintain robust microservices. You will write clean, tested code and contribute to scalable architectures. You will optimize Python modules by selectively rewriting critical parts in Rust and collaborate with teams to deliver secure, highly available systems.

On-site work required. The role requires 3+ years of backend experience with FastAPI/Django/Flask, relational and NoSQL databases,

• Backend Experience: 3+ years of software development experience using modern programming languages.
• Python Proficiency: Strong experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask, along with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• Databases: Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis/MongoDB).
• Best Practices: Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

We are looking for Software Engineers with experience in Python to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices using Python.
• Identify bottlenecks in our Python applications and optimize them by rewriting critical modules in Rust.
• Collaborate on the design of scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code (unit and integration testing).

Requirements

• Backend Experience: 3+ years of software development experience using modern programming languages.
• Python Proficiency: Strong experience with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask, along with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• Databases: Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis/MongoDB).
• Best Practices: Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Rust Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience (or demonstrable personal projects), with a solid understanding of key concepts such as the Borrow Checker, memory management without a Garbage Collector, and safe concurrency.
• Experience integrating Python and Rust directly within the same applications or systems.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud environments.
