Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and strengthen vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines.

You will implement and maintain security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) to protect code from development to production. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience, strong Python scripting skills, and hands-on exposure to AppSec tooling and security architectures.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid Python coding for automation and scripting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling expertise or security architecture.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: write scripts to integrate SAST, DAST, SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
• Security Data Triage: tune scanning tools to reduce false positives and raise confidence.
• Baseline Automation: help deploy automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-Level Remediation: work with product teams to provide remediation guidance in Java and Python.
