Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Python Application Security Engineer to automate security controls and strengthen vulnerability management across CI/CD pipelines. The role focuses on scripting, integrating SAST/DAST/SCA, and enhancing secure coding practices.

The candidate should have 3-5 years of software engineering experience, strong Python skills, and familiarity with CI/CD tools and vulnerability scoring frameworks. Both remote and office options are offered to support flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid Python coding for automation and scripting.
• Working knowledge of modern CI/CD orchestration tools and interaction with vulnerability scoring frameworks.
• AppSec tooling expertise or security architecture.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision on day-to-day scripting and integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pipeline Integration: write and maintain scripts to integrate security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) into CI/CD.
• Security Data Triage: tune/configure security scanning tools to reduce false positives.
• Baseline Automation: code and deploy automated hardened baselines and secure coding patterns.
• Code-Level Remediation: provide actionable remediation guidance to product teams in Java and Python.
