Job summary

Datwyler Group is seeking a Purchaser to ensure timely procurement of indirect materials, manage supplier relationships, and enforce company policies across domestic and international vendors. You will plan and execute purchasing activities, monitor inventory, negotiate terms, prepare POs, and maintain accurate cost and delivery records while supporting CAPEX alignment and monthly reporting.

Strong ERP experience (SAP/Oracle or MS Dynamics) and advanced Excel data analysis are required to drive

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 2–4 years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements.
• Experience with global corporate reporting.
• Experience with SAP implementation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Find and evaluate reliable suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock on time.
• Identify best options regarding price, quality, and delivery for indirect materials based on requisitioner specifications.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery dates, and contract terms.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders (POs).
• Resolve shipping errors, delays, or damaged goods.
• Prepare monthly consumption reports by item and provide them to users to benchmark MPR levels.

State the primary function or overall purpose of the position

The Purchaser is responsible for ensuring the timely supply of indirect materials required for company operations, supporting requisitioning departments by managing commercial relationships with domestic and foreign suppliers, and securing purchases in compliance with corporate policies and formal internal procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and execute indirect purchasing functions in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
• Find and evaluate reliable suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock on time.
• Identify the best options regarding price, quality, and delivery for indirect materials—based on requisitioner specifications
• Negotiate pricing, delivery dates, and contract terms
• Prepare and manage purchase orders (POs).
• Resolve shipping errors, delays, or damaged goods.
• Prepare monthly consumption reports by item and provide them to users to serve as a benchmark for setting maximum and minimum requisition levels (to be reviewed every six months).
• Keep accurate records of purchases, costs, and deliveries
• Manage and maintain records, purchases, and application of CAPEX.
• Generate monthly reports on received services or products that have not yet been invoiced or processed for payment; submit a summary by expense category and cost center to the General Accountant before the end of the month to support the accrual journal entry for that period.
• Analyze purchases, prices, and consumption patterns to improve cost negotiations and evaluate opportunity costs with established suppliers.
• Monitor and control the monthly budget for production consumables.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering.

Experience:

• 2–4 years of experience as a purchaser
• Experience negotiating supplier agreements
• Experience with corporate reporting in global companies
• Ex perience, preferably in SAP implementation

Specialized Knowledge

Mastery of MRP/ERP systems (like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and complex Excel data analysis.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good math and analytical skills to compare costs.
