Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking an Underwriting Coordinator for Property Facilities & Facultative. In this role you will support underwriting operations by analyzing portfolio data, reviewing contractual requirements, and coordinating with brokers and clients to ensure efficient processing.

You'll use Excel and Power BI to prepare portfolio summaries, maintain accurate records, and collaborate across teams to drive data quality and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in insurance, underwriting support, business operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including experience analyzing, reconciling, and summarizing data.
• Ability to interpret contractual requirements, identify inconsistencies, and apply strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills, with confidence collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze portfolio data, bordereaux, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with contractual requirements.
• Identify data inconsistencies, reporting gaps, and trends, providing findings and recommendations to underwriters.
• Communicate with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to clarify information, resolve issues, and support timely processing.
• Support underwriting activities, including submissions, risk clearance, compliance, binding, contract documentation, and post-bind transactions.
• Maintain accurate underwriting records and documentation in accordance with internal quality and compliance standards.
• Use Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools to analyze data and prepare portfolio summaries.
• Collaborate with underwriters and teams across Contracts, Technical Accounting, Claims, and Business Operations.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and support team initiatives while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
