Job summary

Siemens Energy in Querétaro seeks a quality lead to own and drive project quality from tender handover to closeout. Translate contract and customer requirements into a risk-based Project Quality Plan and steer the core team on quality priorities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

You plan gates, audits, manage nonconformances, and report KPIs with transparent escalation to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Recognized quality certification preferred, such as ASQ CQE or CMQ/OE
• Experience in EPC projects, Power Transmission & Distribution, and substations
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Planning, Auditing, and inspection/testing processes
• Ability to interpret contracts, customer specifications, and industry standards

Responsibilities

• Own project quality management from tender handover through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Plan and facilitate quality gates, reviews, audits, inspections, and readiness assessments; ensure objective evidence supports milestone release.
• Define and coordinate inspection and test plans, hold and witness points, acceptance criteria, documentation requirements, and customer notifications.
• Lead nonconformance management, concession and deviation workflows, CAPA, and effectiveness verification.
• Promote prevention, right-first-time execution, lessons learned, and quality culture through coaching and workshops.
