Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our expanding team in a fast-paced consulting environment. You will lead software development projects, manage client expectations, and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple streams.

You will ensure delivery against fixed deadlines, maintain risk and change-control processes, and oversee budgets, resourcing, and vendor dependencies while communicating effectively with executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
  • Experience delivering against fixed external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
  • Experience managing a client dependency register with dates, owners, and escalation paths.
  • Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
  • Experience managing scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, timelines).
  • Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
  • Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder management including translating technical concepts for non-technical clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead software development projects from initiation to delivery.
  • Manage fixed deadlines and ensure on-time product launches and events.
  • Maintain client dependency registers with owners and escalation paths.
  • Implement risk registers and change-control processes.

Requirements
  • 5+ years professional experience managing software development projects

  • Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting
  • Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies
  • Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams
  • Ability to overlap US business hours
  • Bachelor's degree required
