Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead software development initiatives across distributed teams. You will coordinate multi-stream projects, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure delivery against fixed external deadlines for clients in a fast-paced consulting environment.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience managing software development projects.
• Experience delivering against fixed, immovable external deadlines with critical-path and buffer management.
• Experience managing a client dependency register with required-by dates, owners, and escalation paths.
• Experience with formal risk registers and change-control processes.
• Experience managing project scope, budget, resourcing, and timelines across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience coordinating third-party vendor dependencies (contracts, credentials, integration timelines).
• Experience running Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Experience with milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
• Experience with project management and tracking tools (Jira, Asana, or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience translating technical concepts for non-technical clients and executives.
• Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and dependencies.
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems and distributed engineering teams.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate third-party vendor dependencies, contracts, credentials, and timelines.
• Run Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams and manage ceremonies.
• Provide milestone/gate-based acceptance criteria and client-facing status reporting.
• Use Jira/Asana or similar tools to track progress and blockers.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and translate technical concepts for non-technical clients.
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across regions.
• Overlap US business hours to ensure alignment and timely decisions.
