Oferta confidencial, based in Tijuana, Mexico, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead strategic manufacturing initiatives focusing on automation, equipment implementation, and process improvement.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage CAPEX budgets, and drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Advanced English communication and PMP/CAPM are preferred for this role.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical)
• 5+ years managing projects in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years leading cross-functional project teams
• 3+ years with automation, equipment implementation, or process improvement
• Knowledge of PM methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
• Experience with CAPEX planning, budgeting, and KPI tracking
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification preferred
• PMP or CAPM certification preferred
• Advanced English communication skills
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Responsabilidades

• Lead industrial projects from planning through implementation and closure
• Develop and monitor schedules, budgets, milestones, and resources
• Manage risks, issues, changes, and corrective actions
• Lead automation and equipment implementation, commissioning and start-up
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, productivity improvement, and cost reduction
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering, operations, and technical teams
• Manage vendors and contractors, including requirements, deliverables, and timelines
• Lead CAPEX budgeting, forecasts, and cost control
• Drive Lean Six Sigma-based continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor KPIs: schedule, cost, quality, productivity, ROI
• Prepare status reports and present progress to management
• Support equipment validation, qualification, and implementation activities
• Drive root-cause analysis for project-related issues
• Ensure compliance with technical, quality, safety, and project requirements
• Promote collaboration, innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement across teams

Job Description

Responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic projects focused on automation, equipment implementation, process improvement, and operational efficiency. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, resources, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead industrial projects from planning and scope definition through implementation and closure.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, budgets, deliverables, and resources.
• Manage project risks, issues, changes, and corrective actions.
• Lead automation and equipment implementation projects, including integration, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Identify opportunities for process automation, digitalization, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering, operations, and technical teams.
• Manage vendors and contractors, including technical requirements, deliverables, timelines, and performance.
• Manage CAPEX projects, budgets, forecasts, and cost control.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Monitor project KPIs such as schedule, cost, quality, productivity, and ROI.

• 3+ years of experience with automation, equipment implementation, or process improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
• Experience with project planning, budgeting, resource management, risk assessment, and KPI tracking.
• Experience managing CAPEX projects, vendors, contractors, and equipment implementation.
• Knowledge of automation, systems integration, equipment commissioning, and manufacturing processes.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification is preferred.
• PMP or CAPM certification is preferred.
• Advanced English communication skills.
