Job summary

Bendix, parte de Knorr-Bremse, busca un Project Leader 1 para coordinar proyectos de desarrollo y adquisiciones en México. Reportará a la dirección y trabajará con equipos de ingeniería, compras y calidad para entregar resultados dentro de alcance, costo y plazos.

La posición exige estudios en cadena de suministro o ingeniería y experiencia en PM cross-funcional. Se busca proactividad, organización y capacidad de liderazgo en entorno multinacional y on-site.

Qualifications

Se exige licenciatura en área relacionada y 0–5 años de experiencia en PM en compras, cadena de suministro, ingeniería o manufacturing.
Experiencia en proyectos de desarrollo de productos y gestión de change requests es valorada.
Prácticas de internship/co-op pueden considerarse.

Responsibilities

Apoyar y ejecutar proyectos de sourcing global para categorías asignadas.
Impulsar la productividad y cumplir hitos dentro de sistemas de gestión de proyectos.
Conducir equipos de transición de proveedores y asegurar cumplimiento de fechas.
Dirigir revisiones técnicas y PPAP con equipos internos y proveedores.
Establecer cadencias de contacto con proveedores para visibilidad y resolución de issues.
Participar en cambios de fabricación y gestión de inventario y PPAPs.
Tomar ownership de cambios desde kickoff hasta cierre y seguimiento.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Support and execute purchasing projects across the product development, supplier transition, and change management lifecycle. Coordinate stakeholders, suppliers, milestones, and change requests while building technical and project-management capabilities. Responsible for managing assigned projects and workstreams with guidance, maintaining accurate project information, identifying risks, and supporting the successful delivery of quality, cost, delivery, and timing objectives.

Essential Functions:

Support projects that execute effective global category sourcing strategies.
Drive the productivity pipeline for assigned projects, including execution, impact tracking, and accurate timeline milestones within project-management systems.
Drive supplier transition project teams and coordinate internal requirements so approved supplier parts meet timing and milestone expectations.
Lead Technical Review to PPAP with cross-functional and supplier teams, including feasibility agreement and supplier PPAP submission and approval.
Establish a structured supplier touchpoint cadence to maintain visibility, alignment, and timely issue resolution.
Participate in effective manufacturing changeovers, including inventory bank builds, tooling transfers, and supplier PPAPs.
Own assigned change requests from kickoff through closure and follow up with responsible individuals to drive completion

Knowledge:

Knowledge of TS16949, APQP, and PPAP processes is a plus.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings to identify risks, opportunities, and technical requirements is a plus.
Knowledge of Teamcenter or comparable product lifecycle tools is a plus.
Demonstrated problem-solving ability to break down issues, evaluate options, and drive effective solutions.

Experience:

Years of experience 0-5 years.
Minimal project management experience in purchasing, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related cross-functional environment, is preferred.
Internship, co-op, rotational, or early-career project experience may be considered.

Skills:

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Organized project management, including prioritization, risk assessment, resource and milestone management, cost awareness, and communication of key takeaways.
Ability to lead design and manufacturing reviews and facilitate technical dialogue with engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
Ability to influence peers and stakeholders while working in cross-functional teams.
Strong relationship building, self-motivation, organization, interpersonal communication, and written communication.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
