North American Production Sharing, Inc. is seeking a Programming CNC Engineer to convert 3D designs and engineering models into production CNC programs for wood cutting, routers, and automated machinery.

You will ensure efficient, accurate manufacturing processes, validate performance on the floor, and collaborate across Production, Engineering, Logistics, and Operations to meet design requirements.

We are seeking a Programming CNC Engineer with experience in CNC programming for wood cutting, machining, and manufacturing processes. This role will play a key part in the development of customized products, process optimization, and the launch of new production initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming 3D designs and engineering models into functional manufacturing programs, ensuring that cutting and production processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize CNC programs for wood cutting equipment, CNC routers, and automated manufacturing machinery.
• Convert 3D designs and engineering models into production-ready CNC programs and validate their performance on the production floor.
• Create and adjust cutting, drilling, routing, and machining strategies for custom products and special projects.
• Support prototype and sample development by performing programming adjustments to ensure product functionality and manufacturability.
• Improve material utilization, reduce waste, and optimize cycle times through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Validate that production output aligns with design specifications, material requirements, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support new product introductions and ensure successful implementation into production.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting related to CNC programming, design, and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Logistics, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturing requirements are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong CNC programming experience, preferably within wood cutting and wood component manufacturing environments.
• Experience with CNC routers, machining centers, cutting equipment, or similar manufacturing technologies.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design modifications.
• Knowledge of CNC programming, G-code, blueprint reading, and CAD model interpretation.
• Experience with Microvellum is highly desirable; experience with similar woodworking CNC software will also be considered.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with problem‑solving methodologies such as 8D.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Conversational English required to participate in technical meetings and present project updates.
