The CNC Programmer position at EATON Interconnect Technologies, Aerospace Group in Tijuana, Mexico focuses on creating 3D and 2D geometries to generate NC programs for lathes and mills that meet blueprint requirements.

The role includes selecting cutting tools, calculating speeds and feeds, and compiling the manufacturing dossier. Mastercam proficiency and CNC machining experience are essential.

Formación

• Engineering degree preferred or technical equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience required.
• Advanced computer usage.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret symbols.
• Basic geometry and arithmetic knowledge.
• Experience operating NC equipment (lathes and mills).
• Hands-on Mastercam software experience.
• Spanish: basic: programación a pie de máquina.
• SolidWorks knowledge is a plus.
• Experience machining with CNC machines.

Overview

The CNC Programmer will generate 3D and 2D geometries to create NC programs capable of producing parts according to blueprint requirements. This includes cycle time optimization for existing parts, selecting cutting tools, calculating speeds and feeds, and generating the manufacturing dossier package (setup cards, NC program and work instructions).

Primary Responsibilities

• Development of 3D and 2D geometries according to blueprint.
• Development of NC Programs for lathes and mills.
• Definition of cutting tools and geometries (including modeling of tool holders, inserts, drills, etc.).
• NC equipment utilization.
• Administration and control of NC Programs using a DNC system.
• Comply with QMS and Trade Compliance for technical data; keep records of changes and revisions, traceability.
• Creation of manufacturing instructions / dossier.
• Use of Mastercam for NC programming.
• Provide guidance and training to operations personnel.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree Preferred or Technical Degree.
• More than 5 years’ experience.
• Computer usage: Advanced.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation of symbology.
• Basic geometry and arithmetic operations knowledge.
• Knowledge and experience in the operation of NC equipment (lathes and mills).
• Experience in the use of Mastercam software – hands on.
• Programación a pie de máquina
• Conocimientos de SolidWorks (preferible es un plus)
• Ha maquinado (uso de máquina CNC)
