Dematic is seeking a Professional Mechanical Engineer to join the Lifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) Modernizations and Upgrades team based in Monterrey, NL. The role requires 4+ years in mechanical engineering and a strong grasp of material handling solutions design, including how rates and speeds affect system performance.

You will lead medium to large projects through the full lifecycle, with up to 50% travel to USA locations. Strong CAD skills and team leadership are essential for success.

Formación

  • BS/BA in mechanical engineering or advanced degree.
  • 4+ years of successful experience in related field.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, or similar.
  • Experience with MS programs, Word, Excel, Teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software, including all documentation and forecasting.
  • Perform full range of standard work for the professional field.
  • Lead and provide support in semi-complex material specification, equipment configuration, layout drawing generation, bill-of-materials development, and appropriate follow-up.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and risks. Work to meet deadlines and deliverables, achieve budget, and manage risk with team leads.
  • Participate in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Perform important areas of standard professional level work that typically requires processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined issues.
  • Completes equipment configuration and order entry for mechanical hardware and resale components.
  • Attend and lead technical reviews of all project types or areas.
  • Capable of solving complex or unusual problems related to Hardware and/or Software.
  • Lead medium to large complex projects through the project lifecycle, including delegating project tasks accordingly.
  • Perform site-audits at initiation of project to gather site information and confirm scope.
  • Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or as part of a team.
  • Review & report feedback of site readiness Audits (commissioning checklist/instructions).
  • Attend meetings before travel with site lead/project manager.
  • Own the Commissioning Plan and Schedule.
  • Coordinate with field engineering team for project execution.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.
  • Provide guidance to installation teams.
  • Follow current safety best practices while on-site and implements current safety design practices.

Join to the Lifecycle Solutions & Services (LSS) Modernizations and Upgrades team as a Professional Mechanical Engineer.

Candidates in this role typically have a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in Mechanical engineering, have a complete understanding of a material handling solutions design, and anunderstanding of how rates and speeds are affected throughout the entire building. Team member should be able to lead medium to large complex project types through the entire project execution process. Employees to be based in Monterrey, N.L., however, must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer locations in the USA.

What We Are Looking For:

  • BS/BA in mechanical engineering or advanced degree.
  • 4+ years of successful experience in related field.
  • Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of organization’s business practices and issues.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, , SolidWorks, NX, or similar.
  • Experience with MS programs, Words, Excel, Teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
