Dematic in Guadalupe, Nuevo León, is seeking an Analyst Mechanical Engineer to support modifications, upgrades, and improvements to automated material handling systems across North America. You will work with mechanical, controls, installation, and project management teams to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires up to 50% travel to customer sites in the United States and a hybrid work arrangement based in Guadalupe, NL.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering required.
  • 1–4 years of mechanical design or manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with CAD software: NX, SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD.
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% in the United States.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and modify mechanical designs for automated material handling and conveyor systems.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Generate and update Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Support equipment selection, configuration, and implementation activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
  • Coordinate with Controls Engineers, Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Installation Teams.
  • Perform site surveys and collect field measurements to validate project scope.
  • Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities at customer sites.
  • Assist with project execution while considering schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support during installation and project execution.
  • Follow Dematic safety standards and engineering best practices.

As an Analyst Mechanical Engineer, you will support engineering projects focused on modifications, upgrades, and improvements to existing automated material handling systems across North America.

This role combines mechanical design, equipment configuration, documentation development, customer support, and field execution activities. You will work closely with mechanical, controls, installation, and project management teams to deliver solutions that improve system performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

This position is based in Guadalupe, Nuevo León and requires up to 50% travel to customer sites in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify mechanical designs for automated material handling and conveyor systems.
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
  • Generate and update Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Support equipment selection, configuration, and implementation activities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 1-4 years of experience in:
  • Mechanical Design
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Automation or Material Handling Systems
  • Experience with CAD software such as:
  • NX
  • SolidWorks
  • Creo
  • AutoCAD
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% within the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with conveyor systems, automation equipment, or industrial machinery.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Experience supporting installation, commissioning, or field activities.
  • Experience working directly with manufacturing and production teams.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes.
