Dematic is seeking an Analyst Controls Engineer to join the LSS Mod & Upgrades team in Monterrey, NL. The role involves designing hardware/software interfaces for control subsystems and participating in commissioning and site activities, with up to 50% travel to USA locations.

Candidates should have a BS/BA in Electrical Engineering and 2-4 years of related experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs; knowledge of Ethernet IP and machine safety is a plus.

Formación

  • BS/BA in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in controls engineering or related role.
  • Experience with design of systems integrating hardware and software generally preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and PLC knowledge (Rockwell or Siemens).
  • Knowledge of Ethernet IP networks and machine safety is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Participate in the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
  • Own hardware and software design for subsystems or control areas on projects.
  • Assist with material specification, BOM development, and schematic prep.
  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and risks and support the team to meet deadlines.
  • Suggest productivity and cost-reduction ideas to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Perform standard professional tasks involving complex issues; refer to seniors for unclear problems.
  • Conduct site audits at project initiation to gather data and confirm scope.
  • Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or with a team.
  • Review commissioning plans and site readiness feedback and adjust as needed.
  • Coordinate with field engineering teams for project execution.

We are seeking dedicated Analyst Controls Engineers to join our LSS Mod & Upgrades team.

Analyst Level candidates typically have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Controls engineering or related role in material handling or related industry. Employees to be based in Monterrey, N.L., however, must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer locations in the USA.

Tasks and Qualifications:
This is What you Will Do in This Role:
  • Participate in the design of semi-complex systems that integrate hardware and software.
  • Own hardware and software design and application for subsystems or specific control areas for large and small projects
  • Provide support in semi-complex material specification, schematic preparation, bill-of-materials development, and appropriate follow-up.
  • Have knowledge of project budgets, schedules, and risks. Works to meet deadlines and deliverables, achieve budget, and manage risk with team leads.
  • Participate in recommending ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Perform important areas of standard professional level work that typically require processing and interpreting more complex, less clearly defined issues.
  • Refer complex or unusual problems to others with more experience in the field of work.
  • Perform site-audits at initiation of project to gather site information and confirm scope.
  • Perform on-site commissioning activities independently or as part of a team.
  • Review & report feedback of site readiness Audits (commissioning checklist/instructions).
  • Attend meetings before travel with site lead/project manager.
  • Review Commissioning Plan and Schedule.
  • Coordinate with field engineering teams, mechanical & controls, for project execution.
  • Identify and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems.
  • Seek-out growth and knowledge in a specific technical area.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with less experienced engineers.
  • Provide guidance to installation teams.
  • Follow current safety best practices while on-site and aware of current safety design practices.
What We Are Looking For:
  • BS/BA in electrical engineering or advanced degree.
  • 2-4 years of successful experience in related field.
  • Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.
  • Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.
  • Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus.
