Benchmark Electronics Inc. in Tijuana, MX, is seeking a Production Team Lead to guide the production line, monitor operator performance, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

This role acts as backup to the Production Supervisor and drives continuous improvement across shift operations. The ideal candidate will supervise staff, enforce work instructions, and collaborate with QA to minimize defects and downtime.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of production processes and ability to support a shift with minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to mentor, train, and provide constructive feedback to employees.
• Knowledge and application of continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsabilidades

• Identify workmanship and material defects through visual inspection.
• Ensure team members perform their tasks with care and attention to minimize loss of time and material.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Monitor individual work habits, productivity, quality, and overall performance.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to Operators.
• Ensure scrap is properly disposed of at the end of each shift.
• Support effective communication and production continuity during shift overlap.
• Communicate production, quality, personnel, and equipment issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Continuously increase process and product knowledge.
• Lead by example and support management objectives and company policies.
• Serve as backup for the Production Supervisor during absences, weekend coverage, or other operational needs.
• Establish measurable objectives aligned with departmental KPIs and site goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including documentation and follow-up reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable certifications and standards, including ISO 14001, AS9000, IPC, and other site requirements.
• Perform other duties as required to support departmental and organizational objectives.
