Benchmark Electronics Inc in Tijuana seeks a Production Team Lead to provide leadership and operational support for efficient production completion and quality adherence. This role monitors operator performance, enforces work instructions and customer specs, and offers continuous feedback to minimize defects, downtime, and material loss.

The position also serves as backup to the Production Supervisor, participating in continuous improvement and maintaining compliance with relevant standards.

Responsabilidades

• Identify workmanship and material defects through visual inspection.
• Ensure team members perform tasks with care to minimize downtime and material loss.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, drawings, and customer specs.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and overall performance of operators.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to operators.
• Ensure proper scrap disposal at shift end.
• Support production continuity during shift overlaps.
• Communicate issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Continuously increase process and product knowledge.
• Lead by example and support management objectives.
• Back up the Production Supervisor during absences or gaps.
• Set measurable objectives aligned with KPIs and site goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement with documentation and follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, AS9000, IPC, and site requirements.
• Perform other duties to support objectives.

Description

The Production Team Lead provides leadership and operational support to ensure production activities are completed efficiently and according to established quality standards. This role monitors operator performance, reinforces compliance with work instructions and customer specifications, and provides continuous feedback to minimize defects, downtime, and material loss. The position also serves as backup to the Production Supervisor when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify workmanship and material defects through visual inspection.
• Ensure team members perform their tasks with care and attention to minimize loss of time and material.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, procedures, drawings, and customer specifications.
• Monitor individual work habits, productivity, quality, and overall performance.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to Operators.
• Ensure scrap is properly disposed of at the end of each shift.
• Support effective communication and production continuity during shift overlap.
• Communicate production, quality, personnel, and equipment issues to the Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Continuously increase process and product knowledge.
• Lead by example and support management objectives and company policies.
• Serve as backup for the Production Supervisor during absences, weekend coverage, or other operational needs.
• Establish measurable objectives aligned with departmental KPIs and site goals.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including documentation and follow-up reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable certifications and standards, including ISO 14001, AS9000, IPC, and other site requirements.
• Perform other duties as required to support departmental and organizational objectives.
