Wabtec Corporation in Mexico is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a skilled production team and coordinate with other supervisors to meet commitments and reduce downtime. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a cross-functional environment.

You will drive production results, coach staff, manage a unionized team, ensure traceability, and lead root-cause investigations while maintaining strong organizational skills in a demanding setting.

Formación

• Industrial engineering or similar is preferred.
• Able to read and communicate in English is preferred.
• A minimum of one year experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing production environment with demonstrated leadership skills strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with your team members and manage operations members.
• Possess knowledge of working procedures and techniques utilized in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate good administrative, customer service, problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting ability.
• Knowledge and implementation of LEAN techniques.
• Self-starter; able to work in a highly demanding role.
• Excellent attention to detail; excellent organizational skills with attention to task prioritization.
• Take pride in your work, be passionate, reliable and enjoy your work.

Responsabilidades

• Prioritize on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork and Leadership.
• Achieve production results by communicating job expectations; planning, assigning personnel, appraising job results; coaching, counseling and holding team members accountable for results.
• Be a team player and solution provider; communicate and collaborate with cross-functional areas (EHS, Quality, Materials, Maintenance, Engineering)
• Work with cross-functional team to accomplish goals and production schedule rate.
• Understand, follow, and enforce all established EHS, quality, company policies, and procedures.
• Drive safety culture within all operations team by executing EHS dialogs, observations, training and concerns, closed on time as regulatory required.
• Complete on time all EHS related audits and assessments (lifting, 5S, chemical mat)
• Ensure product compliance by checking travelers validating they are signed off.
• Responsible for traceability and identification of materials throughout manufacturing chain.
• Initiate NCMR’s for any manufacturing issues and ensure completion prior to shipment.
• Labor reporting, manage unionized manufacturing team, execution and needs.
• Responsible for employee training, training matrix and records.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Be a proactive actor of continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Support and lead root-cause investigations.
