As a Production Planner, you will play a critical role in aligning customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and inventory strategies to ensure operational excellence and delivery performance. This position supports a highly complex manufacturing environment with a large product portfolio and requires an individual who can independently analyze challenges, make sound decisions, and drive actions across multiple functions while creating value for customers and the business.

Our Team

You will join Molex's Production Planning organization in Guadalajara, working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Warehouse, Customer Service, and global planning teams. Our team operates in a fast-paced environment where collaboration, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and customer focus are critical to success.

What You Will Do

• Create value by developing and executing production plans that balance customer demand, operational capacity, and inventory objectives.
• Drive production schedule performance through proactive identification and resolution of supply, material, and capacity constraints.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve delivery performance, operational efficiency, and inventory health.
• Utilize ERP and MRP systems to translate customer demand into executable production plans and priorities.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives and global stakeholders to ensure accurate communication of order status and recovery plans.
• Analyze business trends, demand fluctuations, and operational metrics to support data-driven decision making.
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives that improve planning effectiveness and create long-term value.
• Contribute to successful implementation of new products and business opportunities through effective planning and coordination.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related discipline.
• Experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing ERP and MRP systems to support production planning activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Professional verbal and written English communication skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in automotive, electronics, industrial, cable assembly, harness, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing high-mix production with large part-number portfolios.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or multiple ERP platforms.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with global teams and customers across multiple regions.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in complex operational environments.
