Marelli Electronics in Aguascalientes, Mexico, is seeking a Production Planner to join the Electronic Systems Plant team. You will coordinate and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure timely and efficient production operations.

Reporting to the Production Planning Supervisor, you will develop detailed schedules, manage resources, and collaborate with procurement, inventory, and quality teams. The role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to lean manufacturing.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
  • Understanding of capacity planning principles.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer orders.
  • Determine material and labor requirements to support production schedules.
  • Assess production capacity and identify constraints or bottlenecks in the manufacturing process.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, inventory, and quality assurance to align efforts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent delays.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports on KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes.

About the Position

We are looking for a Production Planner to join the Electronic Systems Plant team, reporting directly to the Production Planning Supervisor.

This position is based at our office in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

As the Production Planner at Marelli, you will be responsible forcoordinating and optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure timely and efficient production operations.

Your Responsibilities will be
  • Production Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer orders. Adjust schedules as necessary in response to changes in demand, supply chain disruptions, or production issues.
  • Resource Management: Determine material and labor requirements to support production schedules. Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of necessary materials and components.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and identify constraints or bottlenecks in the manufacturing process. Work with production and engineering teams to implement solutions to optimize capacity utilization.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with various departments, including production, procurement, and quality assurance, to align efforts and resolve issues. Communicate production plans and changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent production delays or excess inventory. Implement inventory management strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production data and generate reports on key performance metrics, such as production efficiency, lead time, and adherence to schedule. Use insights from data analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production planning processes and overall operational efficiency. Apply lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to streamline operations.
What Qualifications you will bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in production planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and tools, such as ERP systems and Excel.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning principles.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is advantageous.
