Marelli Electronics in Aguascalientes, Mexico is seeking a Materials Planner to support production through planning, scheduling and coordination of materials with suppliers and internal teams.

This role is based at our Electronics Plant in Aguascalientes and requires collaboration with SCM Manager to optimize material flow, inventory, and costs. A bachelor's degree in a related field and experience in electronics manufacturing are preferred, with strong MRP/ERP knowledge and Excel proficiency.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Materials Planner or in a similar role within electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Conversational English level.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, implement, and manage material planning processes and strategies to support production schedules.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and customer orders to create purchasing and production plans.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and initiate actions to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize workflow and material flow.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and production schedules.

About the Position:

We are looking for a Materials Planner to join the Supply Chain and Logistics team for the Electronics Plant, reporting directly to the SCM Manager.

This position is based at our plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

As a Materials Planner at Marelli, you will be responsible for ensuring a steady flow of materials required for the production processes at our Electronics plant. This role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating materials to optimize production efficiency while maintaining quality and cost objectives. The Materials Planner will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders to forecast needs and manage inventory levels, ensuring on‑time production and delivery.

Your Responsibilities will be:
  • Develop, implement, and manage material planning processes and strategies to support production schedules.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and customer orders to create purchasing and production plans.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to supply chain disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and initiate necessary actions to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize workflow and improve material flow and efficiency.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate records of orders, inventory, and production schedules.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of material planning parameters, such as safety stock, lead time, and reorder points.
What Qualifications you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Materials Planner or in a similar role within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Conversational English level.
Other skills that we would welcome:
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
    Supply Chain certification.
  • Experience with electronics suppliers is a must.
