Dataflix in Guadalajara, Mexico, is seeking a Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst to take end-to-end ownership of client engagements, from requirements gathering and planning through implementation and delivery.

This role combines product ownership with business analysis and project coordination. You will work with clients and delivery teams across the US, Mexico, and India to keep projects moving and ensure outcomes align with business goals.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, tech, engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years as client-facing Product Owner or Business Systems Analyst.
• Proven ability to translate needs into requirements and user stories.
• Experience maintaining product backlog and prioritization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Job Description

We are looking for a strong, client-facing Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst who can take end-to-end ownership of client engagements, from requirements gathering and planning through implementation and delivery.

This role combines product ownership, business analysis, with responsibility for project coordination and implementation support. We need someone who is organized, communicates clearly, and can work effectively with clients and delivery teams to keep projects moving.

Requirements

What will you do:

Requirements and Product Ownership

• Lead client discussions to understand business needs, processes, pain points, and expected outcomes.
  
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, and priorities.
  
• Own and maintain the product backlog throughout the engagement.
  
• Validate requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and business rules before development begins.
  
• Facilitate requirements and solution walkthroughs and obtain stakeholder sign-off.
  

Project and Delivery Ownership

• Take responsibility for the engagement from discovery through implementation and closure.
  
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and action items.
  
• Coordinate closely with developers, QA, and client teams to keep delivery on track.
  
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, sprint planning, demos, and client updates.
  
• Identify risks and blockers early and drive them to resolution.
  
• Manage scope changes and ensure their impact on timeline, cost, and delivery is understood.
  

Implementation and Validation

• Support the team during design and development by clarifying requirements and business decisions.
  
• Review delivered functionality against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
  
• Coordinate SIT, UAT, defect triage, and business sign-offs.
  
• Support go-live readiness, knowledge transfer, and post-release validation.
  
• Ensure the delivered solution meets the agreed business needs and expected outcomes.
  

Client and Team Collaboration

• Act as a primary point of contact for business and delivery discussions.
  
• Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and next steps clearly to client and internal stakeholders.
  
• Build strong working relationships with client teams and manage expectations professionally.
  
• Work across US, Mexico, and India delivery teams as needed.
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a client-facing Product Owner or Business Systems Analyst role, with hands-on responsibility for requirements gathering, project coordination, and end-to-end implementation.
  
• Proven experience managing requirements and delivery across the full project lifecycle.
  
• Strong experience creating business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and project plans.
  
• Experience working with development, QA, architecture, and business teams.
  
• Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive decisions, and take ownership without constant direction.
  
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and using project planning or tracking tools.
  
• Professional fluency in English is required.
  
• Experience working directly with US-based clients and distributed delivery teams.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting data, analytics, AI, cloud, or digital transformation projects.
  
• Experience working in a consulting or technology services environment.
