Job summary

ABB in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico seeks a Senior Business Controller to partner with NEMA Enclosures leadership, guiding financial strategy and ensuring robust controls while enabling growth and profitability.

You will lead planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management across manufacturing, operations, and commercial activities, translating data into actionable recommendations for better results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years in Finance, Controlling, FP&A, or Manufacturing Finance.
• Experience in multinational and matrixed organizations.
• Background in manufacturing operations incl. cost accounting, plant controlling, inventory management.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
• SAP and Power BI knowledge preferred.
• Fluent English and Spanish communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product Line, Manufacturing, Operations, and Commercial leaders to define and execute business strategy.
• Manage financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes.
• Improve business performance through financial insight, scenario analysis, and decision support.
• Monitor manufacturing performance, cost accounting, plant controlling, inventory management, and operational finance metrics.

• Deliver transparent financial reporting and ensure high-quality data for decision-making.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, risk management, and compliance with ABB policies.
• Lead and develop finance team members while collaborating across global teams.
• Support strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and continuous improvement activities.

This position reports to:

Senior Business Controller

Your Role: Meet the Challenge

In this role, you will act as a strategic business partner to the NEMA Enclosures Product Line leadership team. You will manage the financial strategy and performance management of the business, ensuring effective financial control while supporting growth, operational excellence, and profitability.

You will support effective business decisions through the analysis and interpretation of financial and operational data, transforming business insights into actionable recommendations that improve results across manufacturing, operations, and commercial activities.

The work model for the role is: On site

This position contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings, NEMA Enclosures business and is based in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partnering with Product Line, Manufacturing, Operations, and Commercial leaders to define and execute business strategy.
• Managing financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes.
• Improving business performance through financial insight, scenario analysis, and decision support.
• Monitoring manufacturing performance, cost accounting, plant controlling, inventory management, and operational finance metrics.
• Identifying opportunities for margin expansion, productivity improvements, cost optimization, and working capital enhancement.
• Delivering transparent financial reporting and ensuring high-quality financial data for business decision-making.
• Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with ABB policies and standards.
• Leading and developing finance team members while collaborating across global and cross-functional teams.
• Supporting strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and continuous improvement activities across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Finance, Controlling, FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, or related disciplines.
• Solid business partnering experience within multinational and matrixed organizations.
• Solid background supporting manufacturing operations, including cost accounting, plant controlling, inventory management, and operational finance.
• Solid knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and business performance management.
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior stakeholders and support strategic decision-making through financial insights.
• Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives, business transformation efforts, and continuous improvement programs.
• Well-developed methodological, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience collaborating with geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting P&L-driven business environments.
• SAP and Power BI knowledge preferred.
• Advanced or fluent English and Spanish communication skills, both written and verbal.
