A leading manufacturer of medical technologies in Tijuana is seeking a Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes for cable core and assembly. This role involves hands-on participation, troubleshooting, and process validation in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, has strong analytical skills, and experience in cable extrusion is preferred. SolidWorks proficiency is highly regarded and effective communication skills are necessary for collaboration within the team.

Formación

• 3+ years’ experience in cable extrusion or silicone process is preferred.
• Ability to analyze existing processes for improvements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details are required.

In this role, you will support optimization of new manufacturing processes for cable core and assembly manufacturing. This role involves hands‑on participation, troubleshooting, product build and process validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document manufacturing processes that support the manufacture of cable core and final assemblies. Including, but not limited to equipment installation, development and documentation of machine settings, development and fabrication of necessary fixtures, dies, tooling that ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Provide hands on support to manufacturing team at startup, troubleshooting and process/machine optimization.
• Analyze existing processes workflow, equipment and tools for productivity improvements, scrap and cost reduction.
• Perform process validation, collect data as required by internal standards and quality/compliance requirements.
• Oversee cell daily activities and mentor individuals as required.
• Work closely with maintenance team.
• Generate instructions and documentation for process changes
• Design extrusion dies and process tools as required via CAD tools
• Select new manufacturing equipment and perform CAD cell layout as needed
• Conduct PFMEA and risk assessments
• Support Installation Qualification of new equipment and capital projects as needed.
• Prioritize safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related wire and cable manufacturing process experience.
• 3+ years’ experience in cable extrusion, silicone experience preferred but not required
• SolidWorks experience is highly regarded
• Strong attention to details, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate
• Effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, on‑site manufacturing environment
• English language skills in writing and speaking
